WM’s SharpDrain Pro Pourflex Linear wet room drain is a stainless steel drain designed for poured and trowelled floors like Resin, Microcement and Tadelakt. The stainless steel frame is only 3mm allowing for the thin floor finish to be applied flush with the frame. The removable drain cover can be a Brushed Stainless Steel Panel or it can be flipped and used as an insert. It is also possible to cover the trim with the floor covering if you prefer to have no visible metal trim.
The wet room floor drain has a capacity of 48ltrs per minute and can be easily cleaned by removing the cover and trap. The drain is approved to comply with building regulations for wet room trapped gullies, wastes and drains.
When installing a poured floor, waterproofing is typically not required underneath. However, we recommend that walls are waterproofed using LIP VS30 which is an easy-to-apply paint-on liquid waterproofing membrane. It is designed to stretch and move with your building as it ages and warps and is 100% waterproof and dries as one continuous sheet. Tested to international standards – ETAG 022-1 certified and very low emissions – EC1 Plus approved.
We also recommend using SharpBoard to provide the perfect surface to tile onto and for waterproofing shower walls, as well as using LIP 226 specialist wet room screed. This is an extremely durable fibre reinforced screen and can work from just 2mm thick.
The SharpDrain Pro Pourflex Linear wet room drain can also be supplied with a low profile shallow outlet which reduces the installaton height to 71mm.
