What wetroom system is right for you?

Over the last two decades wet room designs have become very popular and have gone on to replace the traditional plastic tray and cubicle style of bathrooms. Wetrooms give you the scope to achieve a modern, sleek and clean finish. You can create a beautifully tiled floor without the need for a shower tray, enabling a seamless open plan look to your bathroom. We offer a wide range of wetroom kits and wet room systems for you to choose from and to design the room that best suits your home.

FAQs

Is a wetroom suitable for my home?

Any space can be turned into a wetroom. They are a great option for smaller bathrooms as removing the bath creates the illusion of more space in the room. They are also entirely open plan which makes for a more spacious appearance.

Where does the water go in a wetroom?

Instead of water from your shower being contained in the tray it will spill onto the wet room floor and leave through a designated water outlet. The floor will need a gradual slope leading to the drain itself.

How do I waterproof my bathroom?

Most wetrooms, depending on the size, will only need the flooring and lower sections of the shower walls to be waterproofed. You can add splash guards for the rest of the walls in the wetroom for additional protection.

What are the benefits of a wetroom?

  • Wetrooms are great for optimising the space of a bathroom. By removing the bath you can create the illusion of a bigger room with a sleek and modern design.
  • They are practical to use and offer easy access to both young and old as well as those with mobility issues.
  • Wetrooms increase the value of your home and are becoming a popular replacement for the traditional bathroom. A recent survey in England showed that a wet room has the potential to increase the value of a property by up to £10,000. It seems that there is a promising trend for wet rooms as an alternative to the shower cubicle.
  • One of the biggest advantages of a wet room is that they are easy to keep clean and maintain. As the whole room is wet you can use cleaning products throughout to keep your room looking sparkling!
  • Wetrooms give you amazing flexibility with design! You can create a visually stunning look to suit your taste and space and be as creative as you like.
