PourFlex Square Wet Room Drain

The Pourflex Square wet room drain from WM | Wetroom Materials is a unique design manufactured specifically for poured floors. If the bathroom you’re working with has a poured floor such as resin, micro-cement, or Tadelakt, the Pourflex Square drain allows you to create a seamless wet room without any visible metal or grout lines.

With the flexibility to place the drain anywhere away from the wall, this freestanding alternative sqaure wet room drain also has sandable edges that allow you to adjust the height to suit your floor thickness. The floor finish can also be applied on top of the wet room drain to achieve a seamless floor with a minimal drainage gap.

Together with Resin supply and installaiton specialists Sphere8, we have developed a typical build up which can be seen here.

Contact us about this product

Our Pourflex Square wet room drain is manufactured from a solid surface which is cast onto the stainless steel drain body, making it an extremely strong and rigid alternative to other sqaure drains. The Pourflex Sqaure has four large horizontal flanges to securely bond your screed/poured floor with grooves to provide extra strength to the installation.

The wet room floor drain has a capacity of 24ltrs per minute and can be easily cleaned by removing the cover and trap.

When installing a poured floor, waterproofing is typically not required underneath. However, we recommend that walls are waterproofed using LIP VS30 which is an easy-to-apply paint-on liquid waterproofing membrane. It is designed to stretch and move with your building as it ages and warps and is 100% waterproof and dries as one continuous sheet. Tested to international standards – ETAG 022-1 certified and very low emissions – EC1 Plus approved.

We also recommend using SharpBoard to provide the perfect surface to tile onto and for waterproofing shower walls, as well as using LIP 226 specialist wet room screed. This is an extremely durable fibre reinforced screed and can work from just 2mm thick.

Together with Resin supply and installaiton specialists Sphere8, we have developed a typical build up which can be seen here.

The Pourflex Square wet room drain is ideal for low-profile wet rooms, requiring only 71mm thickness including Resin or microcement floor covering. If you are encountering issues with floor depth or wet room drainage, please do not hesitate to contact us with your requirements and our professional team may propose some effective solutions. Note that this drain needs to be installed with a 40mm coupling, we recommend sourcing a coupling from the pipework manufacturer so there is no size difference.
